Manali: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan arrived in Manali on
Saturday in Himachal Pradesh for the filming of Kabir Khan's Tubelight film, an
official said.
In addition to filming in Naggar, known for its picturesque
old houses, the film will feature scenes from the majestic Paso Rohtang, the
gateway to Lahaul-Spiti, and Solang Nullah, a government official said.
He said the crew would stay here for four weeks.
Earlier, Tubelight's second schedule was to start in Kashmir
Valley, but was postponed because of instability there, a source said.
In July, the film was filmed in Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir.
A large crowd gathered at the Bhuntar airport near the town
of Kullu to greet Salman, who was wearing a Himachali cap.
Salman's younger sister, Arpita Khan, is married in the town
of Mandi, just 108 km from here.
In May last year, Salman and his family visited Mandi, the
hometown of their sister's husband, Aayush Sharma, for the first time to attend
"dham", a traditional community celebration organized by the Minister
of Rural Development Anil Sharma To congratulate his daughter-the law and the
son.
Arpita married Aayush, the grandson of former
telecommunications minister Sukhram, on November 18, 2014.
