Veteran actor Om Puri says there is no black money in the
film industry and there is no panic over the scrapping of 500 rupees and 1,000
notes.
"I get all my payment by check, there is no cash
exchange in the film industry, there are days when producers walk around with
briefcases full of currency notes to sign big stars." This happened when
the underworld and nefarious organizations financed our films.

"Nowadays, everything is explained. Even my driver gets
his money from the producers through a check," Om said.
He feels that it is industrialists and politicians who are
likely to be most affected by demonetization.

ordinary people are hurt only for a short time."

good can come from this movement, we should be willing to endure the
